Director Steven Soderbergh's film Black Bag has a release date. Distributor Focus Features will release the film in theatres on March 14, 2025. Described as a spy drama, the film stars Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Rege-Jean Page, Naomie Harris, Marisa Abela, Pierce Brosnan, and Tom Burke. Soderbergh will direct the film from a screenplay by veteran scenarist David Koepp, who is best known for Jurassic Park, Carlito’s Way, Death Becomes Her, and Mission: Impossible. Casey Silver and Greg Jacobs will produce Black Bag. The makers of Black Dog are yet to reveal further details about the plot of the film.

It reunites Soderbergh and Koepp after their collaboration on the thriller Presence, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and is expected to release in the near future. As a screenwriter, Koepp also has the Scarlett Johansson headliner Jurassic World 4 and the Liam Neeson-starrer Cold Storage in the pipeline.
