Ahead of the San Diego Comic Con, the makers of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power introduced new characters who will join the second season of the show adapted from JRR Tolkien's work.
The series is set thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings novels and depicts the major events of Middle-earth's Second Age. The first season follows Galadriel, an Elven warrior who believes evil is returning to Middle-earth.
The new additions to the series include Narvi, a dwarf (played by Kevin Eldon), Camnir, an elven mapmaker from Eriador (played by Calam Lynch), Rían, an elven archer from Lindon (played by Selina Lo), and Mirdania (played by Amelia Kenworthy), who is a protégé of master craftsman Celebrimbor.
Season 2 of The Rings of Power, which is also the most expensive series ever, is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on August 29.
