The teaser for the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown was released on Wednesday. Timothee Chalamet plays Bob Dylan in this film directed by James Mangold.

The film is set in the influential New York music scene of the early 1960s and charts the rise of Bob Dylan as a folk musician to a chartbuster singer to a rock-and-roll sensation. The trailer includes footage of Chalamet performing 'A Hard Rain’s A‐Gonna Fall' as Dylan in front of a live audience. It also includes romantic scenes between a young Dylan and his lover and fellow country singer Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro). The trailer ends with the guitar riffs from one of Dylan's most popular songs, 'Like a Rolling Stone'. Even the title refers to a lyric from 'Like a Rolling Stone'.

Interestingly, Chalamet, who also serves as a producer here, played another music-centred character, Willy Wonka, in last year's Wonka.

Apart from Chalamet, A Complete Unkown stars Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, a pioneer of folk music with an influence on young Dylan.

The cast also includes Elle Fanning, Boyd Holbrook, Dan Fogler, Norbert Leo Butz, and Scoot McNairy.

Director Mangold is known for films like Ford v Ferrari (2019) and Logan (2017). One of his most notable works is Walk the Line, a biographical drama about country music legend Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix) and his singer lover June Carter Cash (Reese Witherspoon).

A Complete Unknown, first announced as Going Electric in January 2020, is expected to hit screens this December.
