Popular Marvel Comics character Richard Rider, also known as Nova, the last surviving Nova Corps member, will make his MCU debut in the near future. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said in interview with Brandon Davis of ComicBook, "It's happening, it's coming together. Richard Rider, yup." Feige also added that creators Marv Wolfman and John Buscema's character would make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a show, not a film. However, he hinted that it would take "three or four years" for the project to release.

Feige was talking about the upcoming MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds as well as directed by Shawn Levy.

Feige's announcement goes with earlier hints regarding a Nova/Richard Rider project from Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation. Winderbaum said in a recent ComicBook interview, "We love Nova. We are in really early development on Nova. We have a new system behind-the-scenes at Marvel Studios. We're more like a traditional studio now. We're developing more than we actually will produce. There are plans to develop Nova. I love Nova, too. I love Rich Rider, too. I hope it gets to the screen."
