Charlize Theron opened up on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, a prequel to her 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road, the other day. The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy as a younger version of Furiosa, a character Theron essayed in the 2015 George Miller directorial. In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Theron said, "It’s amazing; it’s a beautiful film," while adding that she has been "trying to connect" with Furiosa star Anya Taylor-Joy. "We keep running into each other and in places when we don’t have time to really talk to each other, so we’re constantly like, ‘Oh my god, OK, let’s get together!’ And then life takes over. But it will happen when it’s right,” said Theron.

She was speaking at the recent party for her health initiative, Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga released in theatres this May and earned critical acclaim for George Miller's direction, Simon Duggan's cinematography, and the performances of its actors, especially Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, and Tom Burke.
