On Wednesday, Netflix announced the premiere date for Jacques Audiard's Emilia Pérez. The film, starring Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, and Adriana Paz, will premiere on Netflix on November 13.

Emilia Pérez is a Spanish film with a blend of music, comedy, and crime. The film also stars Mark Ivanir and Edgar Ramirez. THe film will feature Saldaña as a disgruntled lawyer Rita is tasked with assisting an escaped Mexican cartel leader in undergoing sex reassignment surgery to both evade the authorities and affirm her gender.

Emilia Pérez debuted at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2024, and was chosen to compete for the top honour, the Palme d'Or. Although it didn't win the top prize, it did receive the Jury Prize and the ensemble of female actors won the Best Actress award.

Emilia Pérez's soundtrack features original songs by Camille, while Clément Ducol composed the original score. Additionally, Damien Jalet is credited with creating the choreography for the film's dance sequences.
