The makers of M Night Shyamalan's Trap have shared a new trailer of the upcoming film. Unlike the previous trailers and posters, this is the first time we get a good look at Josh Hartnett's sinister character.

Hartnett, who plays 'The Butcher', is a doting father by day and a serial killer by night who is wanted by cops. Once he realises that he is trapped at a famous pop star's concert with his daughter (Ariel Donoghue) which was elaborately set by the cops, he unleashes his inner evil nature and causes chaos at the venue, hoping to escape from hundreds of policemen without a trace.

The Warner Bros-backed project also stars Hayley Mills and Marnie McPhail. Interestingly, the pop star in Trap is played by the director’s second daughter, Saleka, a singer-songwriter who also wrote several songs for the film.

Trap is all set to be released in theatres on August 2.
