First looks from Rust out

CE Features

The first images from the upcoming film Rust have been unveiled. The film attracted attention after its cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died on sets after accidental shooting. Out of the five stills released by Variety, two of them were shot by the late technician, while the rest were shot by Bianca Cline who replaced Halyna.

On October 21, 2021, Alec was holding a prop gun that malfunctioned and fired, killing Halyna and left the director with wounds. Following the incident, the production was halted for a period. However, later Halyna's widower Matthew Hutchins was roped in as executive producer of the film.

Written and directed by Joel Souza, the Western stas Alec Baldwin who comes back from his retirement to save his teen grandson. The film's cast includes Travis Fimmel, Frances Fisher, Jake Busey, Josh Hopkins, Devon Werkheiser, among others.

The film is currently in the post-production stage. A release date is yet to be announced.  Rust is produced by Alec, Matt DelPiano, Ryan Donnell Smith, Anjul Nigam, Ryan Winterstern, Nathan Klingher, and Grant Hill.
