The official trailer of Borderlands out

The trailer for Eli Roth's Borderlands was unveiled on Wednesday. A live-action adaptation of the video game of the same name, the film is all set to hit theatres on August 9, 2024. 

Produced by  Ari Arad, Avi Arad, and Erik Feig, Borderlands features an ensemble cast including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Florian Munteanu, Bobby Lee, Cheyenne Jackson, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Billed to be a science fiction comedy film, Borderlands has a script Eli Roth co-wrote with Joe Crombie. 

The official synopsis of Borderlands reads, "Lilith (Blanchett), an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Ramírez), the universe’s most powerful S.O.B. Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits. Together, these unlikely heroes must battle an alien species and dangerous bandits to uncover one of Pandora’s most explosive secrets. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other."
