The makers of Peter Five Eight released the theatrical trailer for the upcoming film starring Kevin Spacey on YouTube. Spacey is making a comeback of sorts with the film that stars him as Peter, a gun-toting spy out to solve a mystery in a sleepy little town in California. It is Spacey’s first role as a lead actor in a feature-length film as he looks to resurrect his acting career following a favourable verdict on his sexual misconduct case.

Peter Five Eight is an indie thriller that stars Spacey alongside the likes of Rebecca De Mornay, Jet Jandreau, and Jake Webber. It is the second directorial venture of writer-filmmaker Michael Zaiko Hall, who is best known for independent films like Carrion and Hotel Dunsmuir.

The trailer sets up plenty of intrigue about its premise, with the slogan reading, “In this town, nothing is what it seems.”

The distribution company for Peter Five Eight, namely Invincible Entertainment, intends to release the film in a limited number of theatres on March 22, 2024.
