Spencer Boldman is all set to portray the blind country musical legend Ronnie Milsap in a new biopic. His autobiography, Almost Like a Song, is the base material for the upcoming film. Boldman's long-time manager, Antonia DeNardo, and Gary Negherbon of Negherbon Media Group are executive producing the film along with Boldman.

Born with congenital blindness, Milsap achieved great success as a country crossover singer. He combined pop, R&B, and rock elements in chartbusters such as 'It Was Almost Like a Song,' 'I Wouldn’t Have Missed It for the World,' 'Any Day Now,' 'Smoky Mountain Rain,' and '(There’s) No Gettin’ Over Me.' In 1991 he bagged the coveted Country Music Entertainer of the Year Award. A six-time Grammy award-winner, he was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2014.

Last seen in Welcome to Chippendales, Boldman is known for his role as Adam Davenport in Lab Rats and his performance in Zapped. Boldman has spent time with Milsap at his Nashville home. The singer gave Boldman his blessing to portray him. Milsap will also serve as a producer on the film.
