Actor Reda Elazouar, who is best known for playing Beau in Sex Education season 4, has joined the ensemble cast of The Family Plan sequel, starring Mark Wahlberg in the lead role.
The cast also includes Michelle Monaghan, Kit Harington, Zoe Colletti and Van Crosby. The film is directed by Simon Cellan Jones. Apart from headlining the film, Wahlberg will also produce the new movie. Elazouar's role is currently kept under wraps.
Despite mixed critical reception, The Family Plan, which debuted on Apple TV+ last year, proved a hit with audiences. David Coggeshall wrote the film, which will follow the Morgan family on a European Christmas vacation that takes a chaotic turn when Wahlberg's character's past catches up with him.
Skydance Media will produce the sequel, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger overseeing the project alongside Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. John G Scotti will executive produce alongside Cellan Jones.
Elazouar gained recognition for his performance in the breakout film Pirates, directed by Reggie Yates, which was nominated for a British Independent Film Award. Recently, he was added to the cast of the upcoming PBS series Maigret, set to premiere in 2025.
