Earlier, we reported about Neve Campbell reprising her role of Sidney Prescott in the seventh instalment in the horror franchise Scream. The latest update from the film project is that Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire star Celeste O’Connor has been added to its cast. The makers are yet to reveal the specifics of O’Connor's character in Scream 7.

There have been multiple changes in the cast and crew for the film, including the exit of Christopher Landon as its director. Since then, Kevin Williamson, the creator of Scream and the screenwriter of the 1996 Wes Craven directorial that launched the franchise, has been directing the film from a Guy Busick screenplay. The cast of Scream 7 also includes Isabel May as the daughter of Sidney Prescott.

The 2022 Scream reboot's James Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak are producing the film under the banner Project X Entertainment. The makers are yet to disclose its plot details.

Scream 7 is slated for a February 27, 2026, release through Paramount Pictures.
