The trailer for A24's Y2K, their upcoming disaster comedy film, was unveiled on Tuesday. Directed by Kyle Mooney, the film stars Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, Julian Dennison, and Alicia Silverstone in lead roles.

The trailer shows two loser friends planning to crash a high school New Year's party in 1999. While the party seems to be giving good vibes, the new year, 2000, is born, and the Y2K problem proves to be real. As computers crash and AI starts misinterpreting coding, teenagers die, and chaos ensues. How the lead protagonists survive the disaster as the world comes to an end  forms the rest of the story.

Lachlan Watson, Mason Gooding, The Kid Laroi, Tim Heidecker, Eduardo Franco, Miles Robbins, Fred Hechinger, and Daniel Zolghadri round out the extended cast of Y2K. Penned by Evan Winter, the film is produced and will be released worldwide by A24.

Y2K is all set to hit theatres on September 6.
