The Boys-fame Claudia Doumit onboard M3GAN spinoff SOULM8TE

Claudia Doumit, popularly known for her performance as Victoria Neuman in The Boys, is all set to star in the M3GAN spinoff SOULM8TE. Helmed by Kate Dolan, the film is backed by Jason Blum's Blumhouse and James Wan's Atomic Monster. 

Doumit joins the previously announced cast members Lily Sullivan and David Rysdahl. The details of her role are yet to be disclosed by the makers. This new film in the M3GAN universe is described to be an erotic thriller "with a technological twist."

In SOULM8TE, a man (Rysdahl) acquires an artificially intelligent android (Sullivan) to cope with the loss of his recently deceased wife. In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, he inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.

Rafael Jordan wrote the original draft of the film's script. Dolan has rewritten the original draft which was based on a story by James Wan, Ingrid Bisu and Jordan. Producers are Wan and Jason Blum along with executive producers Michael Clear, Judson Scott and Ingrid Bisu.  

Released in 2022, M3GAN follows an artificially intelligent doll that develops self-awareness and turns aggressive toward anyone who threatens her relationship with her human companion. The film was a critical and commercial success and earned over $181 million worldwide. A sequel, titled M3GAN 2.0, is scheduled to be released on June 27, 2025. Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are returning to star in the film.

An Australian actor of Lebanese and Italian descent, Doumit began her career with the role of Jiya Marri in the NBC series Timeless. Apart from The Boys, she is also known for the Richard Linklater directorial Where'd You Go, Bernadette, co-starring Cate Blanchett, and the indie film Dylan and Zoey which she produced and headlined. 

SOULM8TE is set for a release on January 2, 2026.
