Alison Sweeney revealed in an interview that she is coming back as Sami Brady to the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives following a hiatus of two years. Speaking to TV Insider, Sweeney said, “I was thrilled to be invited to return. I love playing Sami and I am always happy for the chance to come back. We always have to figure out scheduling and such, but if at all possible, I’m so glad to make it happen.”

Peacock will drop the episodes with Sweeney next year. She has been appearing on and off in various episodes of the show, since leaving it ten years ago. Her performance in it earned her a nomination for Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category.

Sweeney also has a film for Hallmark in the pipeline. “I can’t wait to share with everyone the concept,” the actor said in the interview. “But that will be later this year. I’m really proud of this movie.”
