Makers of Russell Crowe's upcoming horror film The Exorcism have released the trailer of the film on Thursday.

The trailer follows Anthony Miller (Russell Crowe), a troubled actor who begins to unravel while shooting a supernatural horror film. His estranged daughter, Lee (Ryan Simpkins), wonders if he’s slipping back into his past addictions or if there’s something more sinister at play.

Crowe's horror film streak continues as his last two films were The Pope's Exorcist and Sleeping Dogs. His co-star Simpkin too had done the Fear Street trilogy for Netflix.

Also starring with Crowe and Simpkin are Sam Worthington, Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg, David Hyde Pierce, Adrian Pasdar, Tracey Bonner and Josh Warren.

Joshua John Miller directed and co-wrote The Exorcism with MA Fortin. The film is backed by Bill Block, Kevin Williamson and Ben Fast under the banners Miramax and Outerbanks Entertainment.

The Exorcism will release on June 7.
