Jonathan Bailey expected to join the cast of new Jurassic World Film

Earlier Scarlett Johansson was also in talks to lead the Gareth Edwards directorial

We earlier reported about the anticipation of Scarlett Johansson joining the cast of The new Jurassic World film. The latest development is that Jonathan Bailey, who plays Prince Fiyero in Wicked, is now in talks to join the film's cast. The yet-to-be-titled Jurassic World film will be directed by Gareth Edwards and executive produced by Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment.


In 2015 Colin Trevorrow restarted the Jurassic World franchise starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard who appeared in two additional films, Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Dominion (2022). The new Jurassic World film will be a fresh take with a whole new story set and cast members as the Jurassic World cast members Pratt and Howard nor the original trilogy’s thespians Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill are expected to return. David Koepp is the scribe for The new Jurassic World film. The upcoming film will mark the seventh film in the franchise.


Jonathan Bailey is also known for his character in the Showtime limited series Fellow Travelers, which won him a Critics Choice Award. He awaits the release of Bridgerton season 3, and is currently filming for Wicked: Part Two, which is set to hit theatres in 2025.
