It Ends With Us starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni gets new release date

Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, and Brandon Sklenar also play supporting characters in this adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel

Earlier, we reported that Justin Baldoni's adaptation of Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us will be released on February 9. The film was initially postponed to hit theatres on June 21. This has further been pushed to August 9. Helmed by and starring Baldoni in the lead, the film also features Blake Lively.

It Ends With Us was first published in 2016. It follows Lily who moves to a new place and is ready to start her life after college. Then, Lily meets Ryle and falls for him. While this progresses on the one side, Atlas, her first love reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle.

The main themes of the book include romance, domestic abuse and self-discovery which are based on the author's personal experiences. Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, and Brandon Sklenar also play supporting characters in It Ends With Us. Christy Hall is writing the screenplay for this film that is backed by Wayfarer Entertainment.
