Ryan Coogler's upcoming untitled new thriller starring Michael B Jordan in the lead has started filming. Cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw shared a photo from the production set on social media, teasing that filming had commenced. “Get ready,” Arkapaw captioned the post on Instagram.

Jordan and Coogler have previously worked on films like Fruitvale Station (2013), Creed (2015), and Black Panther (2018).

Apart from Jordan, the ensemble cast also includes stars like Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Wunmi Mosaku.

The feature is gearing up for a shoot later this spring in New Orleans. Coogler wrote the script and is also producing via his production company Proximity Media. Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian will also produce. The film’s executive producers are two-time Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, Rebecca Cho, and Will Greenfield.

The film's plot and details about their roles are currently kept undisclosed. Reportedly, the film is set in the South during the Jim Crow era and may incorporate both vampires and magical Southern supernatural traditions where Jordan is expected to be playing dual roles — as twin brothers.

The film is set for March 7, 2025, and will also play in IMAX theatres.
