Director Justin Lin to helm Stakehorse

Justin Lin has signed up for Amazon MGM Studios' Stakehorse as its director. Lin will direct the film from a Justin Piasecki screenplay, which featured second on the most recent Black List. Alex Young and Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures will produce it, with Lin also producing it through his banner Perfect Storm Entertainment and Piasecki serving as its executive producer. Stakehorse is reportedly a crime thriller, the further details about the plot of which are still not revealed.

Director Lin has lately been active in the film circuit. He is returning to his roots with the indie film The Last Days of John Allen Chau, developing Sony Pictures' One Punch Man, and tapped for the Daniel Craig and Charlize Theron starrer Two for the Money. On the other hand, Piasecki last wrote the screenplay for Dave Mackenzie's Riz Ahmed and Lily James starrer Relay.
