Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson's Transformers One gets a release window

The first look and a 3D scene from Transformers One, Paramount‘s animated origin story based on the Hasbro toys was unveiled at CinemaCon. While Chris Hemsworth is the voice of a young Optimus Prime Brian Tyree Henry the voice of a young Megatron.

In the clip, Optimus Prime, Megatron and their friends “proven worthy” are given their powers to transform — and awkwardly get accustomed to using those powers. They then enter a cargo train and for the first time see the surface of their home planet Cybertron, where the movie is set. The stylized look of the surface is a vast environment of rock-like structures that, like the bots, grow and transform.

A star-studded affair, the film boasts of a line-up featuring the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Brian Tyree Henry, among other notable talents.

Speaking on the project, Scarlett Johansson in a recorded message, said, "I’m so incredibly proud of the the work that we’ve all done,” the actress said, teasing that the film is “unlike anything you’ve ever seen onscreen."

Hemsworth then came out on the Colosseum stage inside Caesars Palace to chat up the film, telling exhibitors that their audiences “will experience something truly spectacular.” He shared that he plays Orion Pax, a young Optimus Prime, and is poised to “reveal a side of this character that audiences haven’t seen before.”

Henry said, "Transformers One that is like nothing you’ve ever seen on the big screen before," adding, "This origin story is how they transformed from brothers in arms to sworn enemies.” The pair revealed the trailer as well as the 3D scene."

Set to debut on September 13, this marks a pivotal moment for the iconic Transformers franchise, offering fans a fresh perspective on the origins of the beloved characters Optimus Prime and Megatron.
