CE Features

A biopic on Chris Farley is in development, and Josh Gad is attached to the project as its director and Paul Walter Hauser as its lead actor. It is not known which studio will distribute it, but it is open to bidders. It is an adaptation of Tom Farley Jr and Tanner Colby's best-seller The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts. Lorne Michaels is producing the film through Broadway Video. Scott Neustadter and Michael H Weber are adapting the aforesaid biography for the screen.

Before his drug overdose-induced demise in 1997, Farley became famous through a five-season stint on the TV show Saturday Night Live. He appeared in popular SNL sketches such as Lunch Lady Land, Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker, and Chippendale’s Audition.

The biopic will mark Gad's directorial debut. On the other hand, Hauser is known for such titles as I, Tonya, Cruella, and Richard Jewell. He also got an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance in the show Black Bird, starring Taron Egerton.
