Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum's Fly Me to the Moon gets a release date

Director Greg Berlanti's romantic-comedy Fly Me to the Moon, starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, got its release date.

Sony Pictures announced that the film will hit screens worldwide on July 12 in its official social media handle.

The film, set in the 1960s, is about a marketing expert Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) who develops a relationship with NASA employee Cole Davis (Channing Tatum) after she gets assigned from the White House to stage a fake moon landing as a back-up if the Apollo 11 mission fails.

In addition to Johansson and Tatum, the film also stars Woody Harrelson, Jim Rash and Peter Jacobson among others.

The film directed by Greg Berlanti has Bill Kirstein and Keenan Flynn, and Rose Gilroy as its story writers and screenplay writer respectively. The technical crew includes cinematographer Dariusz Wolski, editor Harry Jierjian and music director Daniel Pemberton.
