M Night Shyamalan's Trap gets a new release date

Makers of M Night Shyamalan's Trap have announced a new release date for the film. According to a recent announcement, the release has been shifted from August 2 to August 9.

The film, touted to be a thriller, stars Josh Hartnett, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, Marnie McPhail and Vanessa Smythe, among others. The official plotline of Trap reads, "A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they're at the center of a dark and sinister event."

Apart from writing and directing the film, M Night Shyamalan will also be producing Trap along with Marc Bienstock and Ashwin Rajan under the banner of Blinding Edge Pictures.

Herdis Stefansdottir is the composer of the film while Sayombhu Mukdeeprom and Noemi Katharina Preiswerk serve as cinematographer and editor, respectively.

With the new release date, Trap will be clashing along with The Fire Inside, Borderlands, Cuckoo and My Penguin Friend.
