The makers of Fly Me to the Moon, starring Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson, have released the film's trailer earlier today. Johansson plays a marketing executive whom NASA enlists to shoot a hoax moon landing should the real event fall apart. On the other hand, Tatum plays an astronaut who is part of the fake mission and falls in love with Johansson's character in the film. The trailer shows the attempts by the US to be the first to complete space exploration, a phenomenon called the Space Race.

Greg Berlanti is directing the film based on a Rose Gilroy screenplay. Berlanti replaced Jason Bateman, who opted out of Fly Me to the Moon over creative differences, according to Variety. Bateman's decision prompted a change in its schedule and Chris Evans to exit the project, Variety reports. Speaking on the project in an interview with People, Johansson said, “Channing is such an easy-going actor, good spirited and professional. Falling in love with him onscreen was pretty easy. He’s such a likable person."

The cast also includes Jim Rash, Anna Garcia, Ray Romano, Noah Robbins, Donald Elise Watkins, Nick Dillenburg, Colin Woodell, Woody Harrelson, and Christian Zuber.

Johansson is also producing the film under her banner These Pictures, with Keenan Flynn and Jonathan Lia. Sarah Schechter is also part of the team as a Berlanti Productions representative. On the other hand, Robert Dohrmann is executive producing the film, which will hit theatres this July.
