Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve and production house Legendary Entertainment are teaming up once again after the massive success of Dune: Part Two. They will be adapting Annie Jacobsen's nonfiction book Nuclear War: A Scenario. Reports indicate that Villeneuve is set to direct and adapt the film, as well as co-produce it with Tanya Lapointe.

It has also been learned that the studio and the filmmaker are also in the works of the Dune: Messiah, the third instalment and the conclusion of the Dune trilogy.

Nuclear War: A Scenario explores a ticking-clock scenario about what would happen in the event of a nuclear war, based on dozens of exclusive new interviews with military and civilian experts who built the weapons and have been privy to the response plans and have been responsible for those decisions should they need to be made.

Meanwhile, Dune 2, starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson, among others, was released worldwide in the first week of March. It has already grossed $637 million at the box office and is still being run in cinemas.
