Apple TV+ announced a new documentary series The Enfield Poltergeist, which is set to premiere on October 27, on the streaming platform. The series will consist of four parts.

“Combining more than 250 hours of rare audio archive, meticulous recreation of the setting of the haunting and original interviews with the people impacted by the case, the series is an ambitious, genre-bending story that explores the human fascination with the unexplained and its impact on those who live it,” reads the synopsis.

The Enfield Poltergeist is set in 1977 and will tell the tale of a family in London’s Enfield. A case that changed ideas about the supernatural, it also served as an inspiration for The Conjuring 2 horror film, and two stage plays.

The docu series will use the real recordings by Maurice Grosse, a paranormal investigator who archived all of his interviews.

The Enfield Poltergeist is produced for Apple TV+ by MetFilm and Concordia Studio. It is directed by Jerry Rothwell.
