Life on Our Planet is set to premiere on October 25

Netflix released the trailer of its upcoming series Life on Our Planet, which will chronicle and throw light the evolution of life and species on earth, the ones that survived castastrophic events, what reshaped our ecosystem and more. The eight part series is created by Silverback Films and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television.

Life on Our Planet is set to premiere on October 25.

The documentary, with the help of paleontology and graphics to recreate extinct species, will also show the history of earth. The trailer shows visuals of dinosaurs and mammoth creatures that once existed on the face of earth, as the documentary intends to throw light the evolution of life on planet from day one to today.

“By understanding our past, we can help shape our future. The sixth mass extinction we’re currently living through is the first one created by an animal, and also the first one that can be averted completely,” said Silverback series producer Keith Scholey.

Morgan Freeman will serve as the narrator, with Alastair Fothergill, Keith Scholey, Darryl Frank, and Justin Falvey as executive producers.
