Recently, Amy Jackson surprised her fans by posting her transformation for a new film. The pictures had garnered a lot of attention on the internet. For a section of the audience, the looks did not go well and the actor was subjected to trolling on social media.

Jackson, who has worked in films like Akshay Kumar’s Singh is Bliing and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, has undergone a makeover with a new haircut. In an interview with Times of India, Jackson said her look is part of a new project she is filming in the UK.

Breaking her silence on the negative comments on her recent look, Amy Jackson said she is an actor who takes her job “very seriously” and for the new character, she had to “slim down”. She called the reactions to her look "quite sad".

Speaking to The Times of India, Amy said, “I’m an actor and I take my job very seriously. For the last month, I've been filming a new project in the UK. So, for the character I am playing, I had to slim down and fully commit myself to the role. The online outcry from the (mainly male) Indian demographic is quite sad. I have worked with male co-stars who had to drastically change their look for a film, and they were highly praised for it. The moment a woman does it through unusual hair and makeup that doesn't conform to their idealism of beauty, they think they have the right to troll you."

Amy also revealed that she is over the moon that many people think that she looks like Cillian Murphy and is ready to get her Birmingham accent ready for a comeback.
