Kellan Lutz, Cam Gigandet to star in crime thriller Desert Dawn

Actors Kellan Lutz and Cam Gigandet who are best known to have played Emmett Cullen and James in the Twilight films, will be once again sharing the screen space for an upcoming crime thriller.

The film is titled Desert Dawn and will be directed by Marty Murray from an original screenplay by Chad Law and Johnny Walters.

Desert Dawn will follow the story of a newly appointed small-town sheriff (Lutz) and his envious deputy (Gigandet). As they fall into a web of lies and corruptive businessmen, all the while investigating the death of a mysterious woman.

Premiere Entertainment Group is backing the project. The film has gone on floors this week in Nevada. The production received a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement to allow filming during the union strikes.
