The upcoming release date of Lego Marvel Avengers: Code Red has been announced following the Marvel Lego shorts, starting with Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overloaded.

Lego and Marvel shared a poster featuring red bricks forming the A of Avengers to promote the animated film on Twitter. The details about the storyline and the cast of the film are still under wraps.

The upcoming special is the latest in a long-running string of Lego Marvel animated shorts, which started in 2013 with the 5-episode TV series Lego Marvel Superheroes: Maximum Overload. Since then, they’ve only released standalone 20-minute animated shorts: 2015’s Avengers Ressembled, 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy and 2018’s Black Panther–Trouble in Wakanda.

One of Marvel's three planned films this year, Code Red, was recently previewed by Lego at Comic-Con in San Diego. The second season of Loki and The Marvels, in which Brie Larson plays Carole Danvers again, are the other Marvel films this year. Early 2024 will see the release of the second seasons of What If, Echo, and X-Men '97.

Fans can stream Lego Marvel Avengers: Code Red on Disney+ starting Oct. 27.
