The trailer of Netflix's Nyad, based on the real-life personality Diana Nyad, was released by the streaming platform on Thursday. The trailer shows Annette Bening as Diana Nyad, while Jodie Foster plays her coach and friend Bonnie Stoll.

The trailer shows Diana Nyad as a 60-year-old who takes the help of her coach and friend Bonnie Stoll to achieve a swimming goal she failed at decades earlier.

Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin have helmed this biographical drama based on American author, journalist, motivational speaker, and long-distance swimmer Nyad. She was attempting to become the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without the aid of a shark cage.

The film also stars Rhys Ifans in an important role. Nyad, which has made its debut at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this month, will hit select theatres on October 20, and then premiere on Netflix on November 3.
