Actors Whoopi Goldberg and Jeremy Irvine are the latest to join the cast of director Federica Biondi's upcoming comedy, Leopardi & Co.
The film is being shot in Recanati, which is known for being the birthplace of one of Italy's greatest poets, Giacomo Leopardi.
Leopardi & Co. revolves around an American actor (Irvine), who is helped by his agent (Goldberg) to land the part of Leopardi in a prestigious film. However, his lack of knowledge about the great poet brings in the presence of Denise Tantucci, who is well-versed with the works of Leopardi. Of course, over time, romance ensues.
Produced by Franco-Tunisian film and TV entrepreneur Tarak Ben Ammar's Eagle Pictures, Leopardi & Co. is being shot in Italian and English.
