Actor Matthew Perry, who played the famous and one of the most loved television characters, Chandler Bing from the American sitcom series Friends, passed away on Saturday. Taking to social media, actor Maggie Wheeler, who portrayed the role of Chandler’s on and off girlfriend Janice, in the show took to social media to pay tribute to her late co-star.

Posting a picture of Janice and Chandler, Maggie wrote, “What a loss.The world will miss you Matthew Perry . The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared.”

Matthew portrayed Chandler, one of the six friends and main cast of the sitcom. Known for his witty one-liners and sarcasm, Matthew’s witty comedy and punches were one of the highlights of the show. His Chandler and Janice, who were on and off in the show, were also packed with memorable quips.

Matthew, as per reports, drowned in a jacuzzi at his LA house. He was 54.

Matthew started his film career with A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon in 1988. He went on to star in many films like She's Out of Control and Getting In and in television shows like, Boys Will be Boys and Sydney, among others, until he landed his role as Chandler Bing in Friends.
