Aquaman 2 pushed to a new release date

The film is directed by James Wan

Navein Darshan

Warner Bros. has decided to push Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom from its previously announced release date of December 20. The film will now open on December 22, two days later than the original schedule.

It's said that the extra two days will give the film a breathing space from Wonka — the Timothée Chalamet-led prequel about the origin story of the chocolatier from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

According to director James Wan Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is a story of brotherhood. While the first film was set as a romantic tale between Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry and Amber Heard's Mera, this film will focus on Patrick Wilson's Orm.

Apart from Jason Momoa, the film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren and Temuera Morrison. The James Wan directorial has been written by David Leslie Johnson, Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger.
