Sylvester Stallone's Samaritan gets a sequel 

The actor will reprise his role

The 2022 superhero film Samaritan starring Sylvester Stallone as a former superhero turned vigilante, is set to get a sequel.

With the decision coming from Amazon and MGM, the actor is set to reprise his role and also produce under the banner Balboa Productions. The agreement was signed before the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike began.

Samaritan is based on the 2014 graphic novel and features Sylvester as trash collector Joe who develops a friendship with boy living next to his place. After an instance of saving Sam, the boy believes that Joe is a superhero names Samaritan.

The plot details of the sequel are kept under wraps. Besides Sylvester, the original film also featured Javon 'Wanna' Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, Moisés Arias among others. The film was directed by Julius Avery.
