Cyrils Metzger and Manon Clavel are all set to lead Netflix's upcoming hotel period drama, Winter Palace. While Metzger will be seen as André Morel, Clavel is all set to essay the role of Rose. Lindsay Shapero has written the screenplay while Pierre Monnard is set to direct.
The story is centred around Andre and Rose who play an ambitious married couple running a hotel in a winter holiday destination. The resort is in danger as Simon Ludders' Lord Fairfax, an ambitious aristocrat is after the hotel.
The upcoming series also stars, Astrid Roos, Henry Pettigrew, Clive Standen, Vincent Heneine, Axel Granberger, Alix Henzelin, Antoine Basler, Gaspard Boesch, Roland Vouilloz, Serge Musy and Karim Barras.
The production of the series is set to begin in the Swiss resort towns of Montreux and Valais, later this month. The filming is scheduled to wrap next Spring.
The eight-part series will tell the story of the luxury winter tourism business, which is now a whole market. Andre Morel, a hotelier dreams of making his hotel a palace which is accessible to stay and use throughout the winter season.
Winter Palace is scheduled to drop on Netflix late next year.
