Streaming giant Netflix is at works developing a limited series based on the life of former US President John F Kennedy. It will be based on the book JFK: Coming Of Age In The American Century, 1917-1956, authored by Fredrik Logevall.

The book is the first of the planned two-part which paints the picture of Kennedy's life, from his birth to his duration as junior Senator. The series will be written and executive produced by Eric Roth. Roth has previously won the Academy Award for best adapted screenplay for Forrest Gump and is known for his works in films like Munich, A Star Is Born and Dune.

Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will also serve as executive producers under the banner Chernin Entertainment. While a cast and show runner is yet to be attached to the project, it is expected that it will be on the lines of The Crown series which chronicles the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
