Filmmaker James Gunn has confirmed that he is working on writing the second season of Peacemaker, the Max TV show.

The series follows the titular character after the events of The Suicide Squad, which released in 2021 and was directed by Gunn himself. The show featured John Cena in the titular character, along with, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, among others.

While the development of the second season has been ongoing for a while, the project was delayed due to Gunn working with DC Comics and also helming the upcoming Superman: Legacy.

A release date for Peacemaker season two is yet to be announced.
