Matt Smith to headline The Death of Bunny Munro series

Actor Matt Smith, known for his roles in House of the Dragon and The Crown, is set to headline in the upcoming drama series The Death of Bunny Munro. It is an adaptation of Nick Cave's novel by the same name.

In addition to starring, Matt will also serve as executive producer.

The Death of Bunny Manro will have six episodes and will be written by Pete Jackson. Directed by Isabella Eklof, the series will go on floors from next Spring. Matt will be playing the titular role of Bunny Manro, a sex addict and salesman, whose wife's suicide gets his life in a downward spiral. He then begins to embark on road trips with his nine-year-old son, with each overcoming their struggles on their own terms.

The casting on the rest of the characters is ongoing.
