A tentative agreement has been reached between the parties of the SAG-AFTRA strike, the longest ever actors' strike seen by the Hollywood against its studios.

After 118 days of strike, an announcement was made on Wednesday that the strike will come to an end on Thursday, after the union's negotiating committee accepted the deal. The next step is for the agreement to go for approval by national board on Friday.

The deal will cover various aspects of the strike's reasons, such as giving actors protection against artificial intelligence and pay raise by 7%. “We have arrived at a contract that will enable SAG-AFTRA members from every category to build sustainable careers. Many thousands of performers now and into the future will benefit from this work," Variety report quoted a mail from the union.

The complete details about the deal are expected to be out on Friday.
