Lionsgate and Blumhouse Productions will be collaborating to make a horror film titled Imaginary, which will star actor DeWanda Wise in the lead role.

The film is scheduled to release on March 8, 2024.

Helmed by Jeff Wadlow who previously made Kick-Ass 2, the director was quoted as saying, "DeWanda has been more than a star on this movie – she has been a full creative partner. So much of horror grows out of our most basic fears from childhood, and DeWanda taps into all of that. You know that old saying that the audience’s imagination is scarier than any movie? We’re going to put that to the test.

Imaginary will revolve around a woman called Jessica, who along with her family, move to her childhood home. While all seem to go well, Jessica's stepdaughter Chauncey finds a stuffed toy in the basement. The rest of the film follows how the family is tormented by the evil forces.

The filming has been completed before the strike began.
