The shooting of Nosferatu, the upcoming film directed by Robert Eggers' has been wrapped up. Willem Dafoe will be playing the titular role.

The film will also feature Bill Skarsgård​, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, Emma Corrin, among others. The makers describe the film as a ‘gothic tale of obsession’ It is worth noting that the original film was inspired from Bram Stoker’s Dracula and went on to redefine the horror genre in Hollywood. The upcoming remake is based on a script written by the director.

Nosferatu will be set in the 1800s and will have elements of Goth, love, and fear. It will follow a young woman in the 19th century Germany who is stalked by a vampire.

Eggers is best known for making films like The Northman and The Lighthouse

An official announcement on the release date is yet to be made.
