The shooting for the upcoming Deadpool 3 has begun, amid the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.

Deadpool 3 will be the first R-rated film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Hugh Jackman starring as Wolverine, it will be his final appearance as the character. The film is helmed by Shawn Levy who has worked with Ryan Reynolds in Free Guy and The Adam Project, while he worked with Hugh in Reel Steal.

With WGA strike going on, Ryan is not permitted to improvise any lines during the production as long as the strike is not over. This is to ensure that the script which was delivered before the strike began. Deadpool 3 have been facing staggering delays since the release of the first part in 2019.

The plot of the upcoming film has been kept under wraps. Deadpool 3 is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2024.
