Hasan Minhaj joins the cast of It Ends With Us

The film is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2016 novel of the same name

Earlier we reported that Emily Blake and Justin Baldoni will headline the adaptation of It Ends With Us, directed by Baldoni from Colleen Hoover's novel. The latest news is that Hasan Minhaj has joined the film's cast and will be seen playing Marshall opposite Blake Lively.  

Jenny Slate and Brandon Sklenar are also on board. Christy Hall is writing the screenplay for this film that's backed by Wayfarer Entertainment. 

It Ends With Us was first published in 2016. It follows Lily who moves to a new place and is ready to start her life after college. Then, Lily meets Ryle and falls for him. While this progresses on the one side, Atlas, her first love reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle. 

Minhaj is known for his comedy special Homecoming King and his political satire shows Patriot Act With Hasan Minhaj for Netflix. Previously, he was a senior correspondent at Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.

He's the co-founder and CEO of 186K Films, which will produce its first feature For The Culture with Amazon Studios. Minhaj is co-writing the script with Prashanth Venkataramanujam and will star in the film.
