Renate Reinsve, known for her performance in the Oscar-nominated The Worst Person in the World, will now be seen alongside Pedro Pascal as she has joined the cast of New Line's Weapons directed by Barbarian-fame Zach Cregger.

While the role of the actor and the plot details are kept under wraps, the film is described to be "an interrelated, multistory horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Magnolia, the 1999 actor-crammed showcase from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.” It is said to revolve around the mysterious disappearances of high-school children in a small town.

Zach has also written the script of Weapons, with Roy Lee, JD Lifshitz and Raphael Margules backing the film. The film will go on floors this fall. A release date is yet to be announced.
