John Wick franchise surpasses $1B worldwide box office

Chapter 4 is the highest-grossing film in the franchise, with $425.3M so far

While the Keanu Reeves starrer John Wick: Chapter 4 continues to mint big at the box office since its release in the last week of March, the John Wick franchise has crossed $1 billion at the global box office.

John Wick: Chapter 4 set a franchise record at the opening weekend with $137 million worldwide. The film outpaced the box-office earning of the first two chapters of the franchise. Chapter 4 is the highest-grossing, with $425.3M so far. The third chapter in the franchise John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum has grossed $327 million globally. 

The film, which was released in the last week of March, has opened to positive responses. The CE review of the film read, "John Wick: Chapter 4 gives us an unparalleled high of witnessing a true-blue action extravaganza, but it never forgets the beating heart at the core of it all.

Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick: Chapter 4 features an ensemble cast including Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, Clancy Brown, and Rina Sawayama. The film is produced by Thunder Road Pictures and 87North Productions.
