Netflix's Lockwood & Co has been cancelled after one season. The supernatural detective thriller was created by Joe Cornish's Complete Fiction. It premiered on the streamer in January. The series is based on Jonathan Stroud's young adult novels of the same name.

Starring Ruby Stokes and Lucy Carlyle, Lockwood & Co revolves around a teenage ghost hunter who forms a ghost-hunting agency that specialises in taking down dead spirits, along with Anthony Lockwood and George Karim played by Cameron Chapman and Ali Hadji-Heshmati, respectively.

While the series was a hit for the streamer, and critics were also satisfied, streaming numbers did not meet the benchmark for a second season.

A statement issued by Complete Fiction regarding the cancellation read, "With a heavy heart, we announce that Lockwood & Co will not return for a second series. To the fans- to Lock Nation- you really have been the greatest. We cannot thank you enough for how much you have embraced, celebrated and loved the show."
