Superman: Legacy to go on floors next year

We had earlier reported that James Gunn will be writing and directing an upcoming Superman film titled Superman: Legacy. The co-head of DC Studios has now revealed that the film will go on floors sometime in January 2024.

While Henry Cavill is known for his portryal as Superman, the upcoming film will have a much younger actor. However, James is yet to announce who will play the role. Superman: Legacy will not serve as an origin story, but talk about Man of Steel as an established character.

Production designer Beth Mickle, known for films like Drive, GOTG Vol.3, along with casting director John Papsidera (Oppenheimer, Yellowstone), Judianna Makovsky (Avengers: Endgame, Infinity War, Harry Potter, Captain America), producer Charles Roven (Zack Snyder’s DC films) have been added to the technical crew of Superman: Legacy.
